Contingency Program Rules
08/01/08
- To qualify, you must purchase matching gear (pant,
jersey, gloves) from the 2009 Answer
Alpha, Alpha Air, Alpha LE, all ION styles, Mode, Women’s MX - OR - 2009 MSR Phantom, Old Skool, NXT,
Renegade, Max Air, Strike Force, Starlet and Gem product lines ONLY. Axxis & Syncron DO NOT QUALIFY for the
program. - Gear may be purchased either at a walk-in dealer or via mail
order.
- (1) One
set of gear purchased allows
registration for (1) one class in (1) one series.
(Example: (1) set of gear will not
qualify you for (2) classes).
- Send your registration
form along with your purchase
receipt to Tucker Rocky Distributing – Contingency Program – Attn:
Kristen Rettberg 4900 Alliance Gateway Frwy, Fort Worth TX 76177. Or you may
also fax it to 817-258-9015 –
Attn: Kristen Rettberg.
- Each Series has a registration deadline and a
minimum number of qualifying races that must be attended. Riders must remember that only races
run AFTER the registration form is received will earn points!
- No double points will be awarded for overlapping
series.
- Registration forms are sent out with series
mailers, downloaded from club websites, at your local dealer or obtained at
race signup.
- Riders must compete (and be wearing the qualifying
gear) in a minimum of 60% of the
events in a series to qualify for contingency awards. To figure this number, take the
total number of races and subtract 40%. If the total is .5 or over round up,
if it’s under .4 round down. For example, an 8-race series requires the
rider to participate in a minimum of 5 races.
- Riders must be wearing only a qualifying gear set,
in every Series event, in order
to earn Tucker Rocky contingency money.
- Answer or MSR sponsored riders may enter the
program as long as they follow the rules of a non-sponsored rider. Qualifying
gear MUST be purchased from a Tucker Rocky dealer and not directly from
Answer or MSR.
- Classes paid will be determined by promoter or
sanctioning body for each participating series.
- Registered riders will be sent a coupon pack worth
$100 in discounts on Tucker Rocky Products.
Coupons can be redeemed at any Tucker Rocky dealer, but NOT via mail
order.
- Riders will also be sent a one-time order form which allows purchase of up to $200 (after
discount) in Answer, MSR or Pro Taper casual wear – priced at 40% off
retail – directly from Tucker Rocky.
- The Answer / MSR / Pro Taper Racer Contingency
Program will pay contingency points to registered riders finishing in the top 10 of their class. Note: A
minimum number of riders must enter a class in order for points to be
awarded thru 10th place. We will pay points for up to 75% of each
class. In other words, if 7
rider’s sign up for a class, points will be given to 1st thru
5th place. If 25 riders sign up for a class, points will be given for all 10
places. Contingency points will
be awarded as follows:
1st – 25 points
6th – 10 points
2nd – 22 points
7th – 7 points
3rd – 20 points
8th – 4 points
4th
– 18 points
9th – 3 points
5th – 16 points
10th – 1 point
- Points earned will be tallied at the end of the
series and converted to “Race Bucks” at the rate of $1 per point. Contingency “Race Buck”
certificates will be given or sent to the riders and must be redeemed in
person at a Tucker Rocky Dealer. Certificates are good on any
merchandise distributed by Tucker Rocky.
- All contingency “Race Buck” certificates will
expire and must be redeemed by the expiration date or they will be
forfeited.
