ANSWER / MSR Racer Contingency Program Rules
09/01/07
- Riders already on free product contracts with
either Answer or MSR are not eligible for the Answer/MSR Racer Contingency
Program. Riders on discount
contracts may participate, but qualifying gear purchases must be made from a
retail dealer and not directly from Answer or MSR.
- Classes paid will be determined by promoter or
sanctioning body for each participating series.
- To qualify, you must purchase matching gear (pant,
jersey, gloves) from the MSR NXT/Classic, Max Air, Revolver, Strike/Strike
Force, Renegade, Minor Threat, Starlet and Gem or Answer Alpha/Air, F10, Ion, Rock Star, MX
Girl and Mode product lines ONLY. Axxis
& Syncron DO NOT QUALIFY
for the program. - Gear may be purchased either at a
walk-in dealer or via mail order.
- One set of gear purchased allows registration for one class in one series. Registration forms are sent out with
series mailers, downloaded from club websites, or obtained at race signup.
- Original
receipt and registration form for
the participating series and class you want to race in must be sent to
Tucker Rocky for contingency points to be awarded.
- Registered riders will be sent a coupon pack worth
$150 in discounts on Tucker Rocky Products.
Coupons can be redeemed at any Tucker Rocky dealer, but NOT via mail
order.
- Riders will also be sent a one-time order form which allows purchase of up to $200 (after
discount) in Answer or MSR casual wear – priced at 40% off retail –
directly from Tucker Rocky.
- All coupons must be redeemed by the expiration date
at any Tucker Rocky dealer.
- Riders must compete in (and be wearing the
qualifying gear) a minimum of 60%
of the events in a series to qualify for contingency awards. To figure this number, take the
total number of races and subtract 40%. If the total is .5 or over round up,
if it’s under .4 round down. For example, an 8-race series requires the
rider to participate in a minimum of 5 races.
- Registration forms must be postmarked no later than
the date when only the minimum required races are left in the series. For example, registration for a 6
race series must be postmarked no later than the date of the 2nd race, no
later than the 3rd of an 8-race series, etc. Riders must remember that any races
run before the date the registration form is received, will not count toward
the qualifying 60%.
- Promoters or sanctioning bodies are responsible for
providing results to Tucker Rocky. Registered
rider finishes will be tracked after receipt from series organizers.
- The Answer/MSR Racer Contingency Program will pay
contingency points to registered riders finishing in the top 10 of their class. Note: a
minimum number of riders must enter a class in order for points to be
awarded thru 10th place. We will pay points for up to 75% of each
class. In other words, if 7
rider’s sign up for a class, points will be given to 1st thru 5th
place. If 15 riders sign up for a class, points will be given for all 10
places. – No double points will be awarded for overlapping series.
- Contingency points will be awarded as follows:
1st – 25 points
6th
– 10 points
2nd
– 22 points
7th – 7 points
3rd – 20 points
8th – 4 points
4th – 18 points
9th – 3 points
5th
– 16 points
10th – 1 point
- Points earned will be tallied at the end of the
series and converted to “Race Bucks” at the rate of $1 (retail) per
point. Contingency “Race
Buck” certificates will be given to the riders to be redeemed in person at
any Tucker Rocky Dealer. Certificates are good on any merchandise
distributed by Tucker Rocky.
- All contingency “Race Buck” certificates will
expire and must be redeemed by the expiration date, or they will be
forfeited.
- Riders must be wearing only a qualifying gear set,
in every Series event, in order
to earn Tucker Rocky contingency money.
